HP (i-FORCE MAX hybrid)
An all-new 4Runner built for the backcountry
The 2026 4Runner is a ground-up redesign of one of Toyota's most trusted nameplates, and it rides on the same TNGA-F truck platform that underpins the Tacoma, Tundra, Land Cruiser and Sequoia. That means real body-on-frame toughness, better ride comfort, and the kind of durability that has made the 4Runner a fixture on forestry roads and trailheads across Northwest BC.
For 2026 you choose the powertrain that matches your adventures. The i-FORCE gas engine makes 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft with a 6,000 lb towing rating. The i-FORCE MAX hybrid steps up to 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of instant electric torque - the grunt you feel on a steep gravel climb or pulling a loaded trailer. Nine grades run from the practical SR5 up to the trail-ready TRD Pro and the overland-focused Trailhunter.
Worth knowing: the roll-down rear window is back, cargo capacity reaches up to 2,554 litres behind the front seats, and the hybrid grades add a 2,400-watt AC outlet - handy for tools and camp power well off the grid.

TRD Off Road Premium
The grade most Terrace buyers gravitate to. It adds a 14-inch touchscreen, Bilstein shocks, 18-inch off-road wheels with a full-size spare, a locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control and upgraded underbody protection - and new for 2026, a digital display rear-view mirror and trailer brake controller. Available with gas or i-FORCE MAX hybrid.
Limited and Platinum
The comfort-and-technology grades. The gas Limited brings 20-inch wheels, adaptive variable suspension, leather, JBL audio and a power tailgate. The hybrid Platinum layers on semi-aniline leather, a head-up display, power running boards and a 2,400-watt outlet.
TRD Pro and Trailhunter (hybrid)
The serious hardware. The TRD Pro adds FOX shocks with selectable damping, a heritage grille with LED light bar, TOYO all-terrains and a stabilizer-disconnect system. The Trailhunter is the factory overland build - Old Man Emu shocks, rock rails, a roof rack, hot-stamped skid plates and an onboard air compressor. Both are i-FORCE MAX hybrids.
